Jersey J’s debut mixtape, Psychotherapy, dropped on October 19th, 2018, introducing listeners to an eclectic blend of R&B, hip hop, and touches of emo and funk. This 8-track project showcases Jersey J’s versatility, moving seamlessly from heartfelt love songs like "Forbidden Fruit" and "Chill and Make Love," to deeply emotional tracks like "R.I.P" and "Drugs and Love," and even throwing in a funky, feel-good anthem with "Feel So Good." It’s a true mixtape in every sense—diverse, raw, and introspective.

Man, back in 2018 and 2019 when I was in Mississippi, I was known as the positive kid, always laughing and smiling, but low-key i was a sad lover boy. I was deep into my emo hip hop phase, and sometimes I miss making a bunch of those sad songs because they be so f**king good. I love where I’m at now in my career and life, though. I wouldn’t change anything—I’m better than ever in all aspects.”

On October 19th, 2021, Jersey J released his second project, an EP, called Must Be Nice, High. Inspired by Chance The Rapper, 'Acid Rap', this five-track collection, with one track being only an audio recording of him goofing off and establishing the rules of the EP, his intentions were to create a project based around marijuana while at all times being under the influence of it: Inviting listeners to explore his most vivid and intrusive thoughts.

I sometimes smoke when I write my songs, but this project I wanted to do everything while high. Write, record, film, brainstorm concepts and video ideas, all that sh*t. The one rule I set for the EP was that you must be high. I made sure everyone involved in the project was high before and during the process. I wanted to push the boundaries and see how creative we could get with my intentions.”
